Job summary

A housing association in Wales is seeking a Multi Skilled Gas, Heating and Plumbing Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and installation of gas heating appliances and perform plumbing work within the housing stock. The role requires technical problem-solving skills, adherence to health and safety regulations, and mentorship of apprentices. This position offers a full-time working schedule of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance, servicing and installation of gas heating appliances.
  • Ability to carry out repair inspections and determine faults.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety compliance.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Gas, Heating and Plumbing Engineer.

The overall purpose of the Gas, Heating and Plumbing Engineer role is to be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and installation of gas heating appliances and associated flues to meet current legislative requirements and for general plumbing work within Valleys to Coast housing stock and other properties.

We are looking for someone who can carry out repair inspections and problem solving to determine faults and solutions to technical issues and queries and report back to managers, colleagues or works planners as required, undertake maintenance, installation and servicing of gas heating appliances and plumbing within our homes and mentor apprentices, trainees and work placements as and when required. As part of the role you will use a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) mobile working system, ensure compliance with current professional and statutory regulations and all relevant Health & Safety compliance as well as our policies, procedures and standards and be responsible for the safe use and safekeeping of all supplied tools and plant.
