Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance across production equipment.
• Perform reactive breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and reliability improvements.

Salary: £49,500 + Overtime + Bonus

Job Role of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well‑established manufacturing business based in Wimbledon. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs across a variety of production machinery. You will play a key role in ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements of the Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Multi‑skilled engineer with both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
• Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical or Multi‑Skilled)
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing, production, FMCG, packaging or industrial environment

Requirements for the Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills on electrical and mechanical systems
• Experience carrying out planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance
• Knowledge of motors, conveyors, pumps, pneumatics and automated production equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
• A proactive approach to improving equipment reliability and performance

Desirable Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a UK manufacturing environment
• PLC fault‑finding experience would be advantageous
