Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems at client sites. The role includes out-of-hours on-call cover and contractor supervision, with responsibilities for safety, compliance, and service quality.

The candidate should hold an NVQ or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services, CSCS card, and be IT literate with Excel. A valid driving licence is essential to travel between sites.

• Ability to supervise contractors and ensure workmanship standards.
• Good IT literacy with basic Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems
• Ensure all delegated reactive works orders and PPMs are completed within contract-defined SLAs & KPIs
• Contribute to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability of service delivery
• Complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks accordingly
• Undertake contractor control duties for the client, monitoring contractors and workmanship to meet standards
• Support the site supervisor with integrated delivery of contracted services, ensuring work is safe, on time, within budget and to quality standards
• Provide a callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota

About The Role

Days of Working

Monday - Friday ,8am - 5pm, plus Out of Hours on call cover

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems
• Ensure all delegated reactive works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract-defined time SLAs & KPIs.
• Provide a significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must, therefore, play its part in the overall delivery of service.
• To complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks accordingly
• To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
• Support the site supervisor with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered, safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Provide a callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota

Essential Hiring Criteria

• Applicant must have the right to work in the UK
• Must have a current, valid driving licence.
• NVQ, or equivalent inElectrical, Mechanical, or Building Services along with proven maintenance experience.
• Sound knowledge of understanding and developing safety documentation to ensure site safety procedures are always followed.
• CSCS Skills card or equivalent qualification.
• Understanding of First Aid
• IT Literate - Basic understanding of Excel & Microsoft products
