Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer for a busy food manufacturing site in Ashford, Kent. You will perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults and driving improvements to reliability and efficiency.

The role requires a strong electrical/mechanical background, working to a 60:40 split, with responsibility for keeping production lines running and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• Completed UK engineering apprenticeship.
• Minimum five years' experience in a multi-skilled maintenance engineering role.
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills with solid mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience diagnosing PLC-controlled machinery and electrical control systems.
• Knowledge of motors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics and industrial production equipment.
• Valid MEWP/IPAF licence.
• Good computer literacy and maintenance reporting skills.
• Willingness to work rotating early, late and night shifts, Monday to Friday.

Aufgaben

• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, waste and energy consumption.
• Complete maintenance documentation, compliance checks and engineering records.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety procedures.

Multi Skilled Engineer – £58,000 – Ashford, Kent

Andrews Recruitment Group is recruiting an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer for an established food manufacturing business in Ashford, Kent.

This is a hands-on maintenance engineering position within a busy production environment where equipment reliability, fast fault diagnosis and minimising downtime are essential.

We are looking for an electrically biased Multi Skilled Engineer with a strong mechanical background, ideally working to a 60:40 electrical/mechanical split.

You'll be responsible for keeping production machinery running efficiently, responding to breakdowns, carrying out preventative maintenance and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

At times, you may be the sole engineer on shift, so the ability to work independently, diagnose faults confidently and take ownership of engineering issues is important.

The Role

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery and equipment.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this Multi Skilled Engineer position, you should have:

• A completed UK engineering apprenticeship.
• A minimum of five years' experience in a multi-skilled maintenance engineering role.
