Job summary

Slicker Recycling Ltd is seeking a Multi-Skilled Driver based at Kingsnorth, Kent. You will operate HGV Class 2 tanker duties and collect waste oil for a nationwide client base, Monday to Friday, with occasional overnight stays.

We require a valid HGV Class C license (ADR preferred) and a proactive, customer‑facing approach. The role offers 48 hours per week with overtime and a competitive base salary plus bonus potential.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 (C) licence required or equivalent.
• ADR licence preferred but not essential.
• Experience in similar waste/haulage environment is essential.
• Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Willing to stay away overnight Monday to Friday when required.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 tanker and related duties.
• Collect waste oil and other liquids from sites.
• Work nationwide, Monday to Friday.
• Complete electronic paperwork for consignments.
• Maintain safety, compliance and vehicle checks.
• Represent Slicker professionally with customers.

Job Purpose

Our Multi Skilled Drivers carry out the collection and exchange of workshop waste containers from businesses and automotive sources whilst promoting the Slicker workplace values. We are currently looking for a Driver to be based out of our Kingsnorth site in Kent. We are Smart, Honest and Reliable, working Together whilst having Fun.

Main Tasks and responsibilities

The multiskilled collection driver will be involved in a wide range of duties. Main tasks include:

• Professional HGV Class 2 driving, predominantly tanker work, with occasional other duties or 18T box van work if required
• Collecting waste oil and other liquid products
• Working nationwide, Monday to Friday
• Completing all relevant electronic information to generate consignment notes
• Maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation, including daily walkaround checks and Working Time Directive requirements
• Adhering to company health and safety policies and procedures
• Representing the company in a professional manner and providing an excellent level of service when dealing with customers and members of the public

Essential skills and experience

• Experience of working in a similar environment is essential.
• Able to fulfil the demands of this physical role, which includes the handling of waste containers / hoses (training and lifting equipment provided)
• Flexibility to work longer hours during busy periods, with the ability to stay out overnight Monday to Friday if required.
• Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities to deal with issues that may be encountered on site or while travelling between sites
• Able to communicate and engage effectively with customers and colleagues, demonstrating a positive approach to customer service
• Ability to work unsupervised
• A team player with a flexible and proactive approach

Licences / Qualifications

• HGV Class C (Class 2) Licence
• ADR Licence preferred

Hours and Pay

• Standard hours: 48 hours, Monday to Friday
• Overtime available
• Basic Salary: £38,078.33 pa
• OTE £50,000 - £55,000 OTE (Basic + OT + bonus)
