Job summary

City Facilities Management is seeking a Multi Site Technician to perform planned and reactive maintenance across ASDA stores in the Bristol region, including Weston Super Mare, Highbridge and Bridgwater.

You will handle electrical, mechanical and building asset maintenance with a focus on safety, efficiency and company procedures. You will supervise the Maintenance Assistant and coordinate with store teams to meet PPM schedules and service level agreements.

Qualifications

• Essential: C&G 2382 (18th edition); Level 3 core Electrical qualification; GCSE standard.
• Desirable: City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection; Time served in electrical discipline; Familiar with electrical certification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple store locations.
• Maintain electrical, mechanical and building assets safely and efficiently.
• Complete all necessary PPMs and log remedial tasks to meet contract SLAs.
• Supervise the Maintenance Assistant and Mobile Maintenance Assistant as recruited for the stores covered.
• Communicate issues to store management and ensure adherence to health and safety procedures.

Working Hours: 42.5 Hours Per Week

Salary: £41,506.36 (Inclusive of Standby Payment)

Job Purpose

This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a number of site locations within a specified region.

To carry out planned and reactive maintenance and repairs to a range of electrical, mechanical and building assets in ASDA stores in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the specified Company Health and Safety procedures.

* Although not an exhaustive list, this is likely to include bakery and catering equipment, mechanical and electrical systems and assets, lighting systems, building fabric, water services and other static and portable electrical equipment. General maintenance and first look is required for all HVAC/Fire and Security and electrical and general issues.

Key Accountabilities

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with City and ASDA colleagues.
• To complete all necessary PPMs and ensure all PPM remedial tasks are accurately logged and actioned, ensuring legal compliance
• To supervise the Maintenance Assistant (MA), provide regular coaching and support them to perform their role in line with company processes.
• To respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where required.
• To prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and contract SLAs
• To communicate with Asda Store Management teams and RES of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store.

People Responsibility

• To interview / recruit / oversee / manage the Maintenance Assistant/Mobile Maintenance Assistant and Multi site Maintenance Assistant as recruited against the stores they cover.
• To update Cascade, managing holidays and absence.

Essential

• C&G 2382 (18th edition)
• Level 3 core Electrical qualification, examples of which are: C&G2330, C&G 2365 (with relevant experience), C&G2365 etc.

Desirable

• Familiarity with completion of electrical certification
• City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection
• Time served in electrical discipline or have relevant industry experience in a similar role
