Multi-Site Relief Care Worker

Are you a passionate Multi-Site Relief Care Workerlooking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Multi-Site Relief Care Worker to work in a service based in Gloucester.

Pay Rates: £13.69 - £17.64 Umbrella Rate

Information the Role: Successful candidates will be offered a zero-hour contact and must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

What you will be doing:
  • Undertake delegated responsibilities from Senior colleagues including Grade 6, Rehab officers, Team Leaders and Unit Managers.
  • Provide support to and work collaboratively with teams and colleagues within ASC in-house services to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support individuals with all aspects of their day to day living as required, as detailed in the care plan.
  • Promote the health and wellbeing of individuals, ensuring all care needs are met. This may include personal care.
  • Provide cover on a variety of hours, including daytime and night-time hours, shift work and weekends.
  • Monitor and report back on the progress of individuals both verbally and in writing as required.
  • Be aware of Corporate and departmental policies and procedures and follow these. Adhering to all health and safety instructions and risk assessments to ensure the safety of individuals and colleagues.
  • Protect individuals from abuse and avoidable harm. Report concerns including safeguarding in a timely manner.
  • Participate in supervision and appraisal.
  • Undertake suitable training and other opportunities for staff development as directed by the line manager and maintain your continuing professional development (CPD).
Specialist knowledge skills and experience:
  • Experience of working in a care or education setting.
  • Experience of supporting or working with vulnerable people, desirably adults in a care setting.
  • Experience of using initiative to problem solve-either in a workplace or education setting
  • Experience of communicating with a range of people in a clear, open, and straightforward way using appropriate language
  • Experience of disabilities and associated health conditions
  • Experience of working as part of a team and supporting others in a team - either in a workplace or education setting.
  • Experience of and willingness to provide personal care and physical support, including assisting with mobility, repositioning, and using equipment such as hoists and wheelchairs.
Essential skills:
  • An understanding of the role and responsibilities of workers in the health and social care sector
  • The ability to understand and follow policies and procedures.
  • Good ICT skills including Microsoft packages.
  • Good listening skills and communication skills
  • Good literacy skills to read and complete care plans.
  • An understanding of legislation and principles of care and support, including the General Data Protection Act, Safeguarding and the Equalities Act
  • Willingness to undertake the Care Certificate learning as part of the induction program.
  • A - C English and maths
  • Level 2 in Health & Social Care or willingness to undertake it.
