Job summary

Ambitions Personnel in the United Kingdom is seeking a Packaging Materials Controller to take responsibility for planning, procurement and supply of packaging materials across multiple manufacturing sites. You will ensure the right materials are available at the right time to support uninterrupted production, while maintaining stock levels, costs and supplier performance.

The role requires collaboration with suppliers to monitor delivery, quality and cost, and potential travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, materials planning, or packaging procurement within FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel or data analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan, procure and supply packaging materials across multiple sites.
• Ensure materials are available at the right time to support uninterrupted production.
• Maintain stock levels, costs and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with suppliers to monitor delivery, quality and cost performance.
• Manage lead times and continuity of supply; escalate issues where necessary.
• Support cost-saving and continuous improvement projects through packaging optimisation and value engineering.
• Travel between sites and suppliers, including some overseas travel.
