Multi Modal Export Operator

Location: Stockport
Salary: Up to 40k (Dependent on Experience)

Our client, a leading name in international freight forwarding, is expanding their Stockport team and is on the lookout for talented Multi Modal Customs Export Operator.

You’ll be part of a dynamic, friendly team ensuring the smooth movement of consignments across borders—delivering excellence in compliance, communication, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full import/export process from start to finish.
• Provide quotations, handle bookings, and liaise directly with customers and EU agents.
• Oversee customs clearance and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant.
• Book deliveries with shipping lines and/or merchant hauliers.
• Handle invoicing, duty, and VAT procedures efficiently.
• Track shipments and provide proactive updates to clients.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in customs and/or European road freight operations.
• Working knowledge of T1s, CDS, Descartes, Destin8, CNS, or CargoWise is preferred.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive, positive attitude with the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
• Pricing / input bookings & general operations.
