Job summary

UPS is seeking a Medical Multi Drop Driver for the Rochester area to handle pharmaceutical deliveries, maintain vehicle integrity, and ensure cold-chain compliance.

You will scan and load consignments, perform safety checks, and deliver to patients, GP surgeries, pharmacies, and hospitals on a typical Monday–Friday schedule with 40–48 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Category B driving licence with ≤3 points.
• 2+ years driving experience, including motorway driving.
• Age 21 or older.
• Experience with multi-drop routes.
• Experience with temperature-controlled deliveries preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Respect for confidentiality.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and teams across the network.

Responsibilities

• Scan packages or pallets to the delivery vehicle.
• Load consignments safely and securely.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and manage refrigeration unit.
• Report issues from vehicle checks to line managers.
• Ensure the delivery vehicle maintains correct temperature.
• Deliver and collect pharmaceutical consignments to patients, GP surgeries, pharmacies, hospitals, and wholesalers.
• Physically check and scan consignments at delivery points.
• Complete APOD/driver manifest and collection/refusal paperwork correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
• Ensure PPE is worn and uniforms are kept clean.

MEDICAL MULTI DROP DRIVER

Polar Speed UPS, Unit 33 Rochester Airport Industrial Estate, Laker Road, Rochester, Kent, ME1 3QX

Monday to Friday - 40 - 48 hours per week

£13.04 per hour midweek rate, £19.56 per hour weekend/bank holiday rate (optional)

Up to £26 per day London Allowances - route dependant

Job Purpose And Key Responsibilities

• Managing the scanning of packages or pallets to your delivery vehicle
• Managing the safe and secure loading of all consignments
• Conducting daily diligence on vehicle safety checks and refrigeration unit
• Reporting any issues found on the vehicke checks to line managers
• Ensure vehicle is always at correct temperature
• Delivering and collection of pharmacuetical consignments to Patients Homes, GP Surgeries, Retail Pharmacies, Hospitals, Wholesalers
• Physical checking and scanning of all consignments at delivery point
• Correct completion of APOD/driver manifest/collection/refusal paperwork
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the company vehicle
• Maintaining cleanliness of company uniform ensureing correct PPE is worn

Specialised Knowledge And Requirements

• Minimum category B drivers licnec with ideally no more than 3 points
• Minimum 2 Years Driving Experience, Including Motorway Driving
• Minimum age 21
• Previous multi drop experience
• Previous experience of temperature controlled delevieries/home and or hospital delivery desired but not essential
• Good communication skills
• Appreciate the need for retaining confidentiality
• Build effective working relationships with customers and clients and other departments across the network
