Job summary

UPS is recruiting a Medical Multi Drop Van Driver in the United Kingdom. The role handles scanning, loading, temperature control, and delivery of pharmaceutical consignments to GP surgeries, pharmacies, hospitals, wholesalers, and home delivery patients.

Requirements include a Category B licence with ≤3 points, at least 2 years of driving experience (including motorway routes), and good communication. DBS check may be performed for successful candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum Category B licence with ideally ≤3 points.
• Minimum 2 years driving experience including motorway driving.
• Experience in multi-drop deliveries with customer contact.
• Temperature-controlled delivery experience desired but not essential.
• Good communication and team player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Scan packages or pallets to the delivery vehicle.
• Load consignments safely and securely.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and refrigeration unit checks.
• Report issues to the line manager.
• Deliver pharmaceutical consignments to GP surgeries, pharmacies, hospitals, wholesalers and home delivery patients.
• Manage the returns process of all consignments.
• Maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle and PPE.

Job Description:

MEDICAL MULTI DROP VAN DRIVER

Polar Speed UPS: Unit 33 Rochester Airport Industrial Estate, Laker Road, Rochester, Kent, ME1 3QX

Monday to Friday - 40 - 48 hours per week

£13.04 per hour - £32547 p/a - based on 48 hours

Additonal London Allowances - £26 per day - route dependant

Job purpose and Key Responsibilities

Managing the scanning of packages or pallets to the delivery vehicle

Managing the safe and secure loading of all consignments

Conducting daily dilligence on vehicle safety checks and refrigeration unit

Reporting any issues found on the vehicle checks to the line manager

Ensure the vehicle is always at the correct temperature

Delivering pharmacuetical consignments to GP Surgeries, Retail Pharmacies, Hospitals, Wholesalers and Home Delivery Patients

Managing the returns process of all consignments

Maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle

Maintain the cleanliness of the company uniform and ensure correct PPE is worn - High Viz, Safety Shoes/Boots

Specialised Knowledge and Requirements:

Minimum Category B drivers licence with ideally no more than 3 points

Minimum 2 years driving experience including motorway driving

Experience in multi drop deliveries with customer contact

Previous home and/or hospital temperature controlled delivery experience desired but not essential

Good communication skills

Team player mentality with ability to work on own initiative

Appreciate the need for retaining confidentiality

Build effective working relationships with customers and clients and other departmnets across the network

For successful canddiates Polar Speed will run an enhnaced DBS check
