Job summary

Lords Builders Merchants is seeking an experienced HGV Driver for our Watford branch. You will deliver building materials to customer sites, load/unload, operate a HIAB crane and maintain high safety and service standards.

This role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC and at least 2 years of multi-drop experience. A reliable vehicle and strong customer communication are essential for success in this busy branch environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence and Driver CPC.
• HIAB licence preferred, or willingness to train.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar multi-drop role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Own transport due to branch location and eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customer sites across the region.
• Load and unload vehicles and manage stock movement.
• Operate a HIAB crane safely and in line with regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reports.
• Maintain vehicle presentation and provide excellent customer service.
• Handle delivery paperwork and returns correctly.
• Support the wider branch and transport team as needed.
