Job summary

United Wholesale Grocers Limited in Gateshead is hiring a multi-drop delivery driver to dispatch customer orders in cages and pallets, loading the lorry per route while complying with CPC rules. The role requires CPC qualification, tachograph knowledge, tail lift confidence, and a strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality. Teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• You must have a good understanding of tachograph rules and regulations.
• Confident using tail lifts.
• You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service.
• CPC qualified and must not have more than 6 points on your license to be considered for the role.
• Excellent work ethic, punctuality and reliability required.
• Initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Multidrop delivery of customers’ orders in cages and on pallets in an organised and timely fashion.
• Loading your lorry according to your daily route while following all CPC regulations.
• Dealing with Customer queries and payments upon delivery.
• Taking responsibility for the zone and lorry that you work in; this includes ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Supporting other departments as required.
