Job summary

Cencora in East Grinstead is seeking a Multi Drop Van Driver responsible for delivering company products to customers safely and on time. You’ll be a key front-line representative, upholding high standards of customer care at all times.

You’ll work 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime available up to 48 hours. The role includes daily vehicle checks, route planning, loading/unloading, and occasional warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• A full driving license is required for the relevant vehicle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer care.
• Intermediate numeracy and literacy.
• Desirable previous multi-drop delivery driving experience.
• Route planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and comply with traffic laws and company policies.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report faults.
• Load and unload deliveries and ensure orders are loaded correctly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and security.
• Manage order drop sheets and assist with warehouse tasks.
• Provide high-quality customer service.
• Meet Health & Safety requirements.

Job Title: Multi Drop Van Driver

Job Summary

This role is a multi-drop delivery driver role and the person will be responsible for delivering company products to the customer in a safe and timely manner. You’ll be a representative of the company and be one of the first point of contacts for our customers, so a high standard of customer care must be maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• To collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To always maintain a smart appearance.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To be involved in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by the Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Skills Knowledge and Experience required

• Essential A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven Whilst we do not ask for a clean license, we will assess the risk of employing applicants who have points on their license, and this may affect our decision to shortlist
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy
• Desirable Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
• Route planning experience
