Job summary

FinativeUK in London is seeking a MuleSoft Integration Architect for a full-time hybrid role. You will design end-to-end MuleSoft integration solutions, define integration patterns, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

You will translate business and technical requirements into designs, configure and build MuleSoft APIs and integrations, and oversee development and testing activities.

Qualifications

• Strong MuleSoft design and implementation experience with API-led connectivity.
• Proficiency with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform components (Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange).
• Solid understanding of REST/SOAP, messaging, microservices, and data transformation (JSON, XML).
• Knowledge of security, OAuth, JWT, TLS, data protection and RBAC in integrations.
• Background in enterprise or solution architecture mapping integrations to the tech landscape.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with software development practices, version control, testing, and DevOps pipelines.
• Ability to gather requirements, communicate complex concepts, and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Track record mentoring developers and enforcing integration standards.

Role Description

The MuleSoft Integration Architect is a full-time hybrid role based in London, with flexibility to work from home part of the time. In this position, the architect designs end-to-end MuleSoft integration solutions, defines integration patterns, and ensures alignment with enterprise architecture standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating business and technical requirements into solution designs, configuring and building MuleSoft APIs and integrations, and overseeing development and testing activities. The architect collaborates with stakeholders, developers, and project managers to review designs, resolve integration issues, and guide best practices in performance, security, and scalability. The role also involves documenting architecture decisions, mentoring team members, and contributing to continuous improvement of integration frameworks and delivery processes.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and implementing MuleSoft-based integration solutions, including API-led connectivity and reusable integration patterns.
• Proficiency with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform components (Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange, and CI/CD integration).
• Solid understanding of integration concepts such as REST and SOAP APIs, message queues, event-driven architectures, microservices, and data transformation (JSON, XML).
• Knowledge of security and compliance in integrations, including OAuth, JWT, TLS, data protection, and role-based access control.
• Background in enterprise architecture or solution architecture, with experience aligning integration solutions to broader technology landscapes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying MuleSoft workloads.
• Experience with software development practices, version control, automated testing, and DevOps pipelines in integration projects.
• Ability to gather and analyze requirements, communicate complex technical concepts clearly, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Track record of mentoring developers, reviewing technical designs, and enforcing integration standards and best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience; relevant MuleSoft certifications (e.g., Integration Architect, Platform Architect, Developer) are highly beneficial
