Job summary

The Ministry of Defence seeks a Locum Physiotherapist (Band 6) for a two-week assignment at Bulford RRU, posted through Military Medical Personnel. You will assess and treat an MSK caseload independently, under a Band 7 specialist or medical officer, handling complex and sports-injury cases in a 37-hour week.

Applicants must have HCPC registration and CSP membership, PVG/Access NI clearance and the right to work in the UK, as no visa sponsorship is offered.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and CSP membership are required.
• PVG or Access NI clearance and right to work in the UK.
• At least two years of post-graduate clinical experience in MSK disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat an MSK caseload independently, under supervision from a Band 7 specialist or medical officer.
• Manage referrals from consultants, GPs and other healthcare professionals, including complex and sports injuries.
• Develop and deliver individualised, evidence-based treatment programmes using manual assessment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to audit and research activities.
• Communicate with patients to obtain informed consent and support rehabilitation.
• Write clinical reports with prognoses and discharge plans for medical professionals.
