Job description

We are looking for a Gas Turbine Engineer who will play a central role in defining the specifications for turbine maintenance, repair and overhaul, ensuring assets achieve the highest standards of performance, reliability and compliance. You'll be part of a highly skilled engineering community that thrives on solving complex challenges, driving continuous improvement, and developing innovative repair solutions.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Setting technical specifications for the overhaul, inspection, and repair of aero‑derivative gas turbines.
  • Overseeing disassembly, inspection and reassembly activities, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, tolerances and standards.
  • Leading troubleshooting and diagnostic investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams including design engineers, OEMs, supply chain, and operations to deliver seamless project execution.
Qualifications:
  • Strong technical expertise in gas turbines and rotating equipment, with practical experience of MRO environments.
  • Proven track record in repair schemes, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of RB211 and/or Avon products (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • The ability to interpret data from sensors and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve faults.
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
