Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a radiographer to join the Advanced Diagnostic team at St Joseph's Hospital. The role covers general radiography and MRI, with responsibilities from image acquisition to safety screening and escalation of findings.

You will review requests, apply MRI safety standards, and work with radiologists and other clinicians. Weekend/evening/on-call rotas are included and HCPC registration is essential.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) Radiography or Diploma of The College of Radiographers.
• HCPC registration is essential.
• Significant post-registration experience in general radiography and MRI service.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiography examinations to a high standard.
• Carry out MRI examinations under departmental protocols and safety standards.
• Review imaging requests for clinical relevance and justification.
• Adapt imaging techniques to patient needs while preserving image quality.
• Identify and escalate significant/unexpected findings per procedures.
• Administer IV contrast and cannulate where trained.
• Support multiple care pathways and work with radiologists and clinicians.
• Maintain RIS/PACS records and comply with radiation protection rules.
• Participate in weekend, evening and on-call rotas.
