JOB DESCRIPTION

Part‑time Personal Assistant.

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a thirteen year old boy living in the Penrhiwceiber area with my family. I am a very talkative boy and want to try as many activities as possible to use up some of my energy. When in the house, I do enjoy gaming on my consoles but would prefer to go out when possible.

I have a diagnosis of learning difficulties.

PURPOSE OF JOB

I am looking for a PA to help me to access the community as much as possible and support me to take part in as many different physical activities as possible.

HOURS OF WORK

3 hours per week available. The hours will be worked on the weekends.

RATES OF PAY

£12.80 per hour plus 40p per mile where applicable.

TASKS INVOLVED

• Gymnastics
• Swimming
• Tennis
• Rugby
• Football
• Play centre
• Finding new activities for me to try.
• Going out locally for a walk to the nearby river if nothing available.
• Potentially building up other activities such as climbing walls etc.
• Ensuring my safety when out in the community.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part‑time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
