A Little About My Self

I am an 11 year old boy living in the Cilfynydd area. I live with my mum, dad and younger sister. I have been diagnosed with ASD and ADHD. The challenges I face daily tend to cause me to become frustrated and impatient which makes me angry and I can tend to hit out. I am very active and my energy level is high. I enjoy using the trampoline and have just started going swimming, although when I am out I can get overwhelmed in busy places so my parents plan quieter times or quieter places to take me.

Purpose of Job

To assist and support me in my home and out in the community.

Hours of Work

6 hours a week, 2:1 (3 hours per PA). After school / weekends.

Rate of Pay

£15.00 per hour.

Tasks Involved
  • Personal care, covering toileting needs.
  • To keep me safe at all times.
  • To encourage my independence.
Type of Person Required
  • Someone who can ensure my safety at all times.
  • A person who is adaptable to my needs and moods.

About the Job

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
