Overview

Casual Personal Assistant

I’m a 56 year old gentleman with MS from the Aberdare. I have difficulties with hand functions and mobility. I have two daughters. I enjoy rock music, going to the theatre and watching rugby. I enjoy going out in the community and trying new activities.

Purpose of Job

I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to access the local community and help me maintain my independence, at home and out in the community.

Hours of Work

Looking for a cover/casual PA to work when my main PAs are on leave or ill.

Rates of Pay

£12.90 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Supervising me out in the community
  • Car transfers to ensure I am safe at all times
  • Assisting me during activities in the community
  • Assisting me with meals
Requirements
  • Car driver/owner with business class insurance
  • Patient and an understanding of how my condition affects me
  • Experience in the care sector desirable
  • Must be a non-smoker
About the Job

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
