Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Rotherham is seeking a skilled Mould Shop Repairer to join their team. You will be responsible for repairing and modifying mould equipment while ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have previous Toolroom experience and technical skills in reading technical drawings. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining production quality and works on a five shift rotation.

Five Shift Rotation - Working on a continental shift pattern (7 on 2 off, 7 on 2 off, 7 on 2 off with a mixture of days night and afters)

Salary: £47,305

Are you a skilled Toolroom professional looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Our client is seeking a Mould Shop Repairer to join their team in Rotherham, where you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of mould equipment essential to production.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Repairing mould equipment to precise specifications, including:
    • Mould cavities
    • Blank cavities
    • Neck ring and baffle matching
  • Modifying equipment to improve production efficiency
  • Recording all repair work accurately
  • Ensuring a continuous supply of equipment for production
  • Locating and retrieving mould equipment from storage and factory areas
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Communicating effectively with the Mould Shop Manager
  • Blasting mould and neck equipment as required
  • Providing correct spare equipment for machines
  • Supporting General Operatives when needed
  • Covering during holidays and sickness
  • Performing other reasonable duties within your skill set
Skills & Experience:
  • Previous Toolroom experience (e.g. bench fitting)
  • Apprenticeship trained in Toolroom work (preferred)
  • FLT licence (desirable)
