Job summary

McLaren Racing Ltd. in Woking seeks a Technical Buyer to support timely and cost-effective procurement of engineered components for racing programmes and performance upgrade plans. You will work within the Technical Purchasing team with engineering, programme and supplier partners.

You will manage purchasing activities from RFQ to delivery, monitor supplier performance and provide procurement updates to project managers and engineers. A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting purchasing from RFQ through to delivery.
• Understanding of purchasing processes and supplier management.
• Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented with problem-solving mindset.
• Experience in engineering/manufacturing or motorsport is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities from RFQ through to delivery.
• Create and maintain purchase orders and monitor supplier performance.
• Provide procurement updates to Project Managers and Engineers.
• Support negotiations and provide cost, capacity and lead-time information.
• Help develop the supply base and improve procurement processes.
