Overview

Motor Vehicle Technical Support Officer (Temporary - Minimum 4 Weeks)

Location: Greater Manchester

Rate: 16-20 per hour (depending on experience)

Contract: Temporary (minimum 4 weeks, with possible extension)

Eden Brown are seeking a Motor Vehicle Technical Support Officer to provide essential support to their Motor Vehicle department. This is a temporary position ideal for someone with a strong background in either Motor Vehicle Maintenance or Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-organised workshop environment.
• Support practical sessions and ensure all tools, equipment, and resources are available and maintained.
• Assist staff and students in the safe and effective use of workshop equipment.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with college health and safety policies.
• Provide technical guidance where required and support daily operational needs of the Motor Vehicle department.

About You / Qualifications

• We welcome applicants with either:
  • A Motor Vehicle qualification (e.g., Level 1 or higher), or
  • A Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
• You'll be a proactive team player with strong organisational skills, an eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment.
• DBS check would be needed for this role.
