Job description
Motor Vehicle Lecturer

College location: East Surrey College (Redhill)

Salary: £31,990 - £41,718 (subject to qualifications, skills, and experience)

Hours: Full time (Monday - Friday 8:45am - 5pm)

We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join our busy and professional Technology department where you will deliver teaching across our Level 1 & 2 City and Guilds and Level 3 BTEC qualification.

In this exciting role, you will have the responsibility to prepare and teach on a range of Motor Vehicle Service, including PHEV, Electrical Vehicle, MOT Test, Air Conditioning and Repair courses.

Working closely with the Director of Learning, Programme Manager, and the rest of the Engineering team, you will have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with students to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a personal tutor giving pastoral care, promote attendance, support students to attain suitable work placements, participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development, and review activities within your subject area.

The successful candidate must have:
  • Level 3 or above (or equivalent) in a discipline related to Motor Vehicle Service and Repair
  • GCSE Grade C(4/5) in English and Maths
  • Minimum of Level 3 Teaching qualification or commitment to work towards
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience
  • Up-to-date industry experience
