Are you a motivated Paralegal with experience or a keen interest in motor defence and litigation? Our client, a highly respected national law firm, is looking for a dedicated Motor Defence Paralegal to join their established team in Preston.

As a recruiter working closely with this firm, we're seeking someone who is confident, detail‑oriented, and ready to progress within a fast‑paced, supportive legal environment.

The Role

In this role, you will assist solicitors within the firm's Motor Defence department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a caseload of motor defence files under supervision.
  • Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court forms.
  • Liaising with clients, insurers, witnesses, and experts.
  • Reviewing evidence, police reports, and accident documentation.
  • Preparing cases for hearings and assisting with trial bundles.
  • Maintaining accurate file management and compliance with SRA requirements.
About You
  • Previous experience within motoring offences, claims, insurance litigation, or personal injury defence (ideal but not essential).
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • A genuine interest in motor defence and civil litigation.
  • Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoftli>
  • A law degree or equivalent legal qualification (LPC or SQE desirable).
