Job summary

IPS Group Limited in Birmingham is seeking an Assistant Lawyer to join its Crime & Regulatory team. You will advise and represent clients in motor crime and regulatory matters, supporting investigations from police interviews through to court proceedings and inquests.

The role offers a hybrid working model with regular attendance in the Birmingham office (one day per week). A strong client-care focus and the ability to handle sensitive situations are essential, with police station accreditation

Qualifications

• Experience in criminal law (private practice or related legal environment)
• Interest in motor crime and regulatory work
• Police Station Accreditation (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Assisting on complex motor crime and regulatory investigations
• Attending client meetings, police stations, courts and client premises when required
• Liaising with witnesses, experts, counsel and external agencies
• Assisting with case preparation and progression from investigation to conclusion
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Gradually developing your own caseload with ongoing support and supervision
