Job summary

In Digital in Covent Garden is seeking a confident Mid-Weight Motion Graphics Designer with 2–5 years’ experience to join our creative team. You’ll concept, animate and edit short‑form video for paid social and digital campaigns on Meta, TikTok and YouTube, delivering platform‑native creatives.

As the sole motion designer in the studio, you’ll present work to clients, mentor junior designers and help raise the team’s output quality.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience as a motion designer in an agency, in‑house or social‑first environment.
• Strong showreel/portfolio demonstrating short‑form motion for digital channels.
• Proficient in After Effects and Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma.
• Solid grasp of animation principles, pacing and platform‑native formats for Meta/TikTok/YouTube.
• Comfortable presenting work to clients and mentoring junior creatives.

Responsibilities

• Motion design and animation: create and deliver motion graphics and short‑form video for paid social, display and digital campaigns.
• Video editing: assemble footage and creator content into platform‑native ads with hooks, pacing, captions and sound design.
• Storyboards and concepts: develop scripts, storyboards and animatics for client review before production.
• Creative scaling: adapt assets across aspect ratios and durations, building reusable templates for scale.
• Static design support: contribute static visuals to ensure cohesive brand output.
• Client communication: present work, explain design decisions and manage feedback.
• Junior designer support: mentor and review outputs to raise team quality.
• Creative testing: work with paid media and strategy teams to test hooks and lengths.
• Project management: handle multiple briefs, update progress and priorities in a fast‑paced agency.
