Job summary

Vibe Recruit is seeking an MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician in Ipswich for a permanent, full-time role paying £34,000. The position features a 44-hour week, no Sundays or Bank Holidays, and opportunities for ongoing training.

The role involves MOT tests, servicing and general maintenance, diagnostics and mechanical repairs, and ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety within a busy service centre.

Qualifications

• Valid MOT Tester licence - essential.
• Vehicle Technician qualification and relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Experience within a fast-fit centre, garage or recognised dealership.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
• Vehicle servicing and general maintenance
• Diagnostics and mechanical repairs
• Inspect brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, lights, emissions and exhaust systems
• Brake, tyre and wheel alignment work where required
• Accurately complete MOT documentation and job cards
• Identify defects and required remedial work
• Maintain excellent standards of workmanship and Health & Safety
