Job summary

HiQ Tyres & Autocare in Bedford is recruiting a MOT Tester Technician on a full-time permanent basis. You will test, diagnose, service and repair a range of vehicles, while conducting MOT tests to required standards.

You must hold an MOT Tester licence and prefer a background in fast-fit or dealership environments. A full driving licence with up to 9 points is required; a competitive bonus and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-fit car centre or recognised vehicle dealership.
• A valid MOT Tester licence is essential.
• Vehicle technician qualification and relevant experience.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Work on all makes and models of vehicles.
• Perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs.
• Inspect brakes, tyres, steering, and exhaust systems.
• Conduct MOT tests in line with legal requirements.
• Use hand tools and power tools to perform repairs.
• Document test results and feedback to owners.
• Keep up to date with MOT regulations and procedures.
• Complete job cards and related paperwork to a high standard.
• Assist in store operations and stock checks.
