The Role

Silcom Recruitment is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join a busy, independently run garage in Trowbridge. We are looking for a qualified MOT Tester with experience in light vehicles. Both part‑time and full‑time candidates will be considered, and you will join a friendly, professional team committed to high‑quality service.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Conduct MOT inspections in line with DVSA standards and regulations.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and maintain compliance with safety and legal requirements.
• Advise customers on necessary repairs and maintenance in a clear, professional manner.
• Maintain a clean, organised workspace and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order.
• Work efficiently to meet daily testing schedules while maintaining high‑quality standards.

The Package

Part‑Time: 3 days per week – full days, 8:00 am to 5:15 pm – pro‑rata salary.

Full‑Time: Monday to Friday, 8:15 am to 5:15 pm – up to £40,000 basic salary.
