Job summary

A busy franchised car dealership in Bedford is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join their workshop team. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and an active MOT Tester license (Class 4 & 7). The role offers a basic salary of £34,000 and potential earnings of £40,000 with the option of a 4-day working week. Great benefits and manufacturer training will be provided.

Our client, a busy Franchised Car Dealership in Bedford have the requirement for an experienced MOT Tester & Vehicle Technician to join their established workshop team

Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester Responsibilities

• Carry out Servicing & Repairs to Manufacturer Standards
• Carry out MOT Tests to DVSA standards
• Cambelt, Clutch, Gearbox & Engine Repairs/Replacements
• Electrical & Mechanical Diagnostics
• Carry out New Car PDI’s & Used Car MPC’s
• Warranty Repairs

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance
• Active MOT Tester Licence (Class 4 & 7)
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Requirements:

• Hybrid/EV Qualifications
• Manufacturer Accreditations
