Job summary

Arnold Clark is seeking an MOT Tester for our Workington Motorstore. You will perform MOT tests, identify defects, and ensure vehicles meet safety standards while delivering excellent customer service and technical guidance.

You will work with a skilled team in a dynamic environment, gaining hands-on experience with diverse makes and models and staying abreast of the latest automotive tech. Training and development opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Qualified Technician - Minimum Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance certification (Level 3 preferred)
• DVSA Tester Certification
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Team player and able to work independently or with colleagues
• Detail-oriented and committed to high‑quality workmanship

About The Role

As an MOT Tester, you'll be a key player in ensuring our customers' vehicles are safe and roadworthy. You'll work with a skilled, motivated team in a dynamic environment, gaining hands-on experience with a wide variety of makes and models. Plus, you'll stay ahead of the curve with the latest automotive technology!

Day-to-day duties

• Performing MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
• Identifying vehicle defects and failures
• Keeping up to date with current MOT testing guidelines and best practices
• Maintaining accurate documentation and records of inspections

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Technician - Minimum level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance certification (level 3 preferred)
• Experienced & Skilled - Solid background in an MOT testing role
• DVSA Tester Certification
