Job summary

Holt-Recruitment in St Helens is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join a busy workshop on a full-time permanent basis. The role offers £37,000 basic salary plus OTE £40,000 and a secure career path in a modern workshop environment.

As an MOT Tester you will perform DVSA-compliant inspections, maintain high safety standards, and work closely with the workshop team to deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid MOT Tester Licence required.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
• Previous MOT testing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness, safety and emissions.
• Identify and report faults or defects.
• Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
• Collaborate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow.

The Role
