MOT Tester

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in using hand and power tools. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of vehicles by conducting thorough inspections and tests. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary.

Duties
  • Conduct comprehensive MOT tests on various vehicles to ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively during inspections and repairs.
  • Identify any mechanical issues or defects and provide recommendations for repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and any necessary follow-up work.
  • Communicate findings clearly to customers, providing advice on necessary actions.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the general maintenance of the workshop environment.
Requirements
  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during vehicle inspections.
