Stoneacre The Number One Motor Group is hiring an MOT Motor Vehicle Technician. The role involves MOT testing, servicing, and repairing vehicles across a range of models, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards and within scheduled times.

You will diagnose faults, replace parts, and provide customers with clear write-ups. Training may be offered to progress towards Senior/Master Technician status, with EV training emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive sector in a technical role.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Electric/Hybrid vehicle qualification is advantageous but not essential; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Service Manager and meet franchise and company standards.
• Carry out maintenance, service and repair on motor vehicles of all types.
• Work to high standards within scheduled times to meet manufacturer requirements.
• Repair, test and diagnose faults in vehicles.
• Replace components and lubricants; maintain records and provide clear customer write-ups.
• Keep work area clean and safe per Health & Safety standards.
• Advise on faults and servicing needs through Vehicle Health Check and Video process.

An average day as a MOT Motor Vehicle Technician... Reporting to the Service Manager, being responsible for meeting both franchise, and company standards in a service environment. Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types. Working to the highest level within scheduled times to meet company, franchise and manufacturers' standards. Repairing vehicles, testing vehicles and diagnosing faults. Replacing components, parts, lubricants and consumables whilst maintaining records and providing quality write-ups for the customer and manufacturer. Keeping your work area clean, tidy, organised and free from hazards according to current Health & Safety standards and regulations. Advising and reporting on vehicle faults, servicing requirements including future servicing/repair requirements through the Vehicle Health Check and Video process.

Qualifications

• We consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working in the Automotive sector within a technical role.
• As a minimum, you will be qualified to Level 2 NVQ, or equivalent, in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and hold an MOT Testers Licence.
• You will have fantastic communication skills and thrive working in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
• You will have the ability to work well under pressure.
• An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
