Job summary

A reputable automotive service centre in Darlington is seeking a skilled MOT Technician. This role offers a salary up to £32,000 with OTE up to £38,000, working 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Join a stable team prioritising long-term relationships and ongoing training.

The ideal candidate holds a valid MOT licence, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, and a full UK driving licence. You will perform MOT tests, servicing and repairs across various makes, while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • Valid MOT licence is essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to perform vehicle repairs and servicing to high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct MOT tests on vehicles to DVSA standards.
  • Repair and service vehicles as required, covering a variety of makes and models.
  • Inspect vehicles for wear, tears, and general faults ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, advising customers on vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance and diagnostic work utilising the latest industry technology.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out as an MOT Technician.
