Overview

Job Title: Mortgage Underwriter

Location: Manchester City Centre, M1. 5 days per week onsite with hybrid working options after successful completion of probation (minimum 3 days per week onsite). Operating hours: 9am–7pm.

Salary: £32,548 per annum + competitive bonus scheme

Responsibilities
  • Manual underwriting from application to authorization.
  • Efficiently process loan applications, ensuring compliance.
  • Authorization of loans within specified limits.
  • Thorough risk assessment based on financial stability.
  • Effective communication with clients, brokers, and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 12 months experience assessing or processing loan applications - ideally in second charge lending or motor finance.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid available after probation (6 months). Up to 2 days per week remote.
