Job summary

Education Matters Group is seeking a Nursery Practitioner for a Montessori setting in Chorleywood. You will work with children aged 0–5 in a nurturing environment, supporting exploration and development through child-led, nature-based experiences.

The role involves outdoor activities, following EYFS, full and half-day shifts, and 30–40 hours per week. The setting operates 50 weeks a year with 8am-6pm hours and start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Experience with babies and/or children under 5.
• Good understanding of EYFS.
• Genuine passion for Montessori and outdoor learning.
• Caring, creative and enthusiastic approach.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support children aged 0–5 years in a Montessori-inspired environment.
• Facilitate child-led, nature-based activities and outdoor learning.
• Support children's development and wellbeing under EYFS guidance.
