Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Iver is seeking a qualified Montessori Lead to guide early years learning with a focus on play-based, developmentally appropriate practice. You will foster a warm, inclusive environment, partner with families, and support safeguarding and learning journeys.

This role offers 40 hours per week, with a salary up to £31,845 per year, and access to extensive training and employee benefits. Experience with Montessori pedagogy is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Montessori Lead with Level 4 Montessori Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of EYFS and how children learn through play.
• Ability to plan engaging learning that responds to individual needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe and valued.
• Plan and deliver purposeful, play-based learning aligned with EYFS.
• Observe and track children's progress to inform next steps.
• Adapt activities so every child can participate and learn at their own pace.
• Build partnerships with families and share observations of the child's Learning.
• Support daily routines and uphold high safeguarding, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Share knowledge with colleagues, apprentices, and volunteers.
• Reflect on teaching and collaborate to improve children's experiences.
