Job description

RTA MOJ/OIC Fee Earner – Manchester Based – Permanent

I’m currently representing a fantastic Manchester based firm who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced MOJ/OIC fee earner to join the team on a permanent basis.

You will be experienced in handling RTA matters across both platforms (OIC/MOJ Portal) from inception to completion to include submission of CNFs, reviewing medical evidence and negotiating settlement. Proclaim use advantageous.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing a caseload at all stages of the MOJ & OIC Portal
  2. Preparing cases for submission to the Portal
  3. Updating clients
  4. Be able to assess quantum
  5. Understand and meet targets
  6. Understand and comply with the Civil Procedure Rules and Practice Directions
  7. Be able to identify issues in advance of Litigation
  8. Must be a strong communicator

About you:

  1. Must be proficient in using the MOJ and OIC Portal
  2. Credit hire knowledge is preferable
  3. Be able to use your own initiative to find solutions to problems
  4. Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise and manage a varied caseload
  5. Strong legal and leadership skills with an eye for detail
  6. Exceptional organisation and time-management skills
  7. Ability to provide high-level client care
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills
  9. Willing to research the law and have existing knowledge of the Rules and Practice Directions
  10. Good negotiation skills
