Job summary

A leading construction recruitment agency is urgently seeking an experienced Modular Joiner to work in the York area. The role involves refurbishing modular units and porta cabins, requiring at least 2 years of 1st and 2nd fix joinery experience. Candidates must own their tools and PPE. This is a great opportunity with a pay rate of £19 to £20 per hour for a duration of 6 months.

Qualifications

• Ability to work unsupervised if needed.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

We require an experienced Modular Joiner to join our client on a large contract, refurbishing Modular Units and Porta Cabins.

About the role

A Multi Skilled Modular Joiner is URGENTLY required to join a forward thinking Modular/Offsite business based in the York area.

The main duties will be:

• Partitioning
• Using various joinery tools
• Reading joinery construction drawings
• Erecting stud timber walls
• Marking up timber walls
• Stripping and replacing floors
• 1st and 2nd Fix joinery duties
• Plaster Boarding
• Window and Door fitting

Qualifications/and or Experience

• Minimum 2 years 1st and 2nd fix joinery experience
• Ideally NVQ level 2 or 3 in Joinery and Carpentry
• Strong Attention to Detail
• The ability to work under pressure
• Can work as part of a team.
• Can work if needed alone and unsupervised
• Ideally Modular Construction Experience
• Punctual, Reliable and a Hard Worker
• OWN TOOLS AND PPE ESSENTIAL
