Job summary

JRL Modular — Newark is seeking Modular Assembly Operatives to join our factory team. You will assemble apartments, bathrooms and utility cupboards to supply to onsite projects.

The role offers permanent PAYE employment with weekly pay. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7:30am–4:00pm and Friday 7:30am–3:00pm, with paid time to 4pm. Experience with soldering copper pipework or lagging pipes is highly desirable, but full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Previous assembly or basic construction experience preferred.
• Soldering copper pipework or lagging pipes is highly desirable.
• Willingness to learn and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assemble modular apartments, bathrooms and utility cupboards.
• Work on pipework including soldering copper and applying insulation/lagging.
• Follow all Company procedures and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
• Assist in training other team members as required.
• Maintain health & safety for yourself and colleagues.
• Take on other duties as required by factory supervisors.

This is a Permanent PAYE position based at our JRL Modular factory in Newark. Due to continued growth we are seeking new recruits to join our team. To us, enthusiasm, reliability and commitment far outweigh previous experience.

DUTIES

• Assembly of modular apartments, bathrooms and utility cupboards
• Working on pipework including soldering copper and applying insulation/lagging where applicable
• Ensure all Company procedures are followed
• Undertake any training as required, and assist in training other team members where you are proficient
• Keep work areas tidy and maintain high standards of housekeeping
• Work safely and take responsibility for the Health & Safety of yourself and colleagues
• Any other duties as required by factory supervisors

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

• Previous assembly or basic construction experience is preferred but not essential
• Experience with power tools preferred but not essential
• Experience soldering copper pipework or lagging pipes — highly desirable
• Flexible team player with a can-do attitude
• Ability to follow processes and work to targets — Health & Safety, Quality and Productivity
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance record
• Enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills
