To train under the modern apprenticeship programme you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations across our busy office. You will provide first‑line support across the team while developing valuable skills in office systems, communication and coordination. Through training and development you will gain hands‑on experience troubleshooting issues, assisting staff with technical queries and learning from experienced professionals. You will be part of development and transformation projects, learning the stages of system implementations while gaining experience using software to deliver operational and performance reporting, and contributing to data quality and standards.
Essential:
• A1 Standard Grade (1‑2)/National 5 (A‑B) or equivalent qualification in English and Maths or Computing.
• A2 Basic working knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Internet/E‑mail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills.
• Ability to use initiative and work proactively with some supervision and managerial guidance as required.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• Ability to work on a number of projects and to meet deadlines.
• Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness and ability to learn new skills and technologies.
• As this is a training post, no formal experience is required; some experience in using computers and in dealing with people from school activities, hobbies or volunteer/part‑time work would be helpful.
• Must be able to demonstrate that you would benefit from both the work experience and qualification element of the programme.
Desirable:
• B1 Higher or Intermediate 2 or equivalent qualification in English and Maths or Computing.
Salary will be Grade 2, £23,350 per annum.
This post is full time (35 hours per week) and fixed term for up to 2 years from the agreed start date.
