Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery – Modern Apprentice in Early Years. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 20% of time dedicated to off-the-job learning, gaining hands-on, job-specific skills in a professional nursery setting while earning a wage.

No previous childcare experience is required, and full training and support will be provided. After qualification, opportunities to progress to Nursery Nurse roles within our growing Group.

Modern Apprentice – Early Years

At Toad Hall Nursery, we welcome applicants, from 17 years old, who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development.

No previous childcare experience is required - we value transferable skills from other roles and life experience, and full training and support will be provided.

How will I train as an apprentice?

You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 20% of your time dedicated to off-the-job learning.

This includes supported study time to complete tasks set by your Assessor, with guidance from both your training provider and our experienced nursery team.

If you haven't studied for a while, don't worry — we'll support you every step of the way.

Once qualified, you'll have the opportunity to apply for Nursery Nurse roles advertised internally, with the potential to build a long-term career within our growing Nursery Group.

Many of our apprentices continue to progress and develop their careers in Early Years with us.

Is there anything else I should know?

Before confirming a start date, we will complete pre-employment checks, including:

• Two satisfactory references
• An Enhanced DBS check
