Pacific Life Re is seeking a technically strong Model Risk Actuary to lead independent validation and risk reviews of actuarial models across the enterprise. You will collaborate with model owners, ensure governance standards, and apply critical judgement to identify risks and drive improvements in modelling practices.
The role involves working with diverse teams across Reporting, Pricing, R&D, Capital Management, and Underwriting, with exposure to AI-enabled models and various modelling
Competenze
- Qualified Actuary with experience in actuarial modelling, model validation or risk oversight.
- Strong knowledge of actuarial model solutions and modelling software.
- Understanding of life insurance and reinsurance industry and governance standards.
Mansioni
- Independently scope, plan and deliver model risk reviews and defend conclusions.
- Schedule independent reviews under the MRM framework and monitor remediation actions.
- Develop model risk management information for business leaders and stakeholders.
- Identify recurring model risk themes and drive governance improvements.
- Present findings to model owners, senior leaders and wider stakeholders.
