Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points or bans.

Responsibilities

• Attending breakdowns to diagnose issues and arrange return to workshop if needed.
• Identify problems and advise customers on the vehicle’s issues.
• Vehicle servicing and general maintenance including electrical work and diagnostics.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.

Overview

Mobile Vehicle Technician / Roadside Technician – Location: Stevenage. We have exciting new opportunities for Mobile Vehicle Technicians / Roadside Technician. We are recruiting across Stevenage so we will tailor the area to you based on your location. This Mobile Vehicle Technician / Roadside Technician is working for one of the UK’s leading vehicle breakdown companies who provide a first-class service to thousands of customers. Looking for people to start ASAP!

Salary and Hours

Salary: £38,625 basic per annum, with the opportunity to earn up to £50,000 through bonuses and premium-rate overtime; overtime at 1.5x. A guaranteed overtime option can increase your base salary to £44,385. Hours: 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm, 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Attending breakdowns to diagnose issues and, where possible, get the vehicle back on the road; otherwise arrange return to workshop
• Identify problems and advise customers on the vehicle’s issues
• Vehicle servicing & general maintenance including electrical work and diagnostics
• Deliver exceptional customer service as the face of the business

Requirements

• Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred; Level 2 considered with relevant qualifications (City and Guilds, IMI or NVQ); must be able to show qualifications
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a vehicle workshop or as a Mobile Vehicle Technician
• Full UK driving licence – no more than 9 points or bans
• Ability to demonstrate technical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
