Job summary

TipTopJob is looking for a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service and repair forklifts and related equipment. You will operate as a field service engineer from your home base, covering Reading and Guildford, carrying out PPMs and breakdowns with no extended stays away from home.

The role includes full training, a company van for work and personal use, and a benefits package. A level 3 or equivalent qualification is preferred, with prior automotive or plant experience welcome.

Qualifications

• Candidates with experience on cars, plant, forklifts, HGV or similar equipment are suitable.
• Vehicle Technician/Mechanic background welcome for a change of industry.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service basis.
• Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent on all machinery and equipment.
• Spare parts placed in the van overnight.

Mobile Vehicle Technician role available in a highly successful and international manufacturer of forklift trucks.

The Mobile Vehicle Technician role will be suitable for candidates who have worked on cars, plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment. If you are a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic looking for a change of industry and like the idea of being mobile role this role could really appeal.

Part of a team, youll be based from home carrying out PPM and breakdown on a range of forklifts, typically an hour maximum from your home location. No stay away or extensive travel is required. Overtime is available if desired mostly in the week.
