Mobile Vehicle Technician (Level 2 & 3)

Location: Nottinghamshire.

Job Description

As a Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. You'll work a 40‑hour week, Monday–Saturday, with core hours 8:00 am – 4:30 pm and a shift covering 1 in 4 Saturdays. The role includes providing first‑class service from driveways and office car parks without the constraints of a traditional garage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair light vehicles using your tools and diagnostic kit.
  • Perform routine servicing, engine checks, and diagnostic tests on customer vehicles.
  • Provide advice and support to customers, representing the RAC with pride.
  • Manage workload and maintain accurate work logs during service visits.
Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary £38,625 – £44,385 (depending on experience); earnings can reach £50,000 with bonuses and premium‑rate overtime.
• Guaranteed overtime option after the first month at £30 per hour (just one extra day a month can earn you up to £3,000 extra per year).
• 23 days holiday (increasing to 25 with service) + bank holidays, paid family leave, flexible schedules.
