The AA is recruiting mobile mechanics to service and repair vehicles at customers’ homes or workplaces. You will work 40 hours over five days with some Saturdays, carrying out diagnostics, servicing and repairs using company vans, tools and support.

Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ holders with driving licence and relevant experience are welcome; you will be paid from driveway to driveway with guaranteed earnings and potential incentives.

Qualifikationen

• NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Full UK Category B driving licence with no more than six points
• Flexibility to work the advertised rota, including Saturdays
• Relevant experience as a mechanic in a workshop, dealership or mobile environment

As an AA Mobile Mechanic, you’ll carry out servicing, diagnostics and repairs at customers’ homes or workplaces, with the tools, technology and support you need to do a great job.

Pay within the advertised range will depend on qualification level and experience.

• Level 2 Mobile Mechanic: £36,307 guaranteed earnings - With opportunity to earn up to £6,000 in incentives and overtime
• Level 3 Mobile Mechanic: £38,270 guaranteed earnings - With opportunity to earn up to £6,000 in incentives and overtime

And your working day starts and finishes on your driveway. That means you’re paid from the moment you get into your AA van until you arrive back home at the end of your shift.

Job Description

You’ll work 40 hours over five days, with shifts between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday. You’ll typically work 1 in 2 Saturdays.

You get the independence of a mobile role, while still having the backing, tools and support of one of the UK’s best known motoring organisations.

What you’ll be doing

This is hands on vehicle servicing and repair, delivered directly to the customer. You’ll:

• carry out vehicle servicing and repairs at customers’ homes or workplaces
• attend booked appointments and breakdowns across your local area
• carry out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on the spot repairs
• use your technical knowledge to identify problems and find the right solution
• explain diagnostics, repairs and technical information clearly so customers feel confident and informed
• manage your day and scheduled jobs independently across multiple locations and environments
• represent the AA as a trusted expert and reassuring presence for our members
• take ownership of your local area, building relationships and creating opportunities to grow demand
• deliver the high standard of workmanship and customer service people expect from the AA

You’ll have a fully equipped company van, uniform, boots, industry leading tools, training and ongoing support to help you do your best work wherever the job takes you.

Qualifications

For the Level 2 role, you’ll need an NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an accepted equivalent, alongside strong vehicle servicing and repair experience.

For the Level 3 role, you’ll need an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an accepted equivalent, alongside strong diagnostics, servicing and repair experience.

For all candidates

You’ll also need:

• relevant experience working as a mechanic in a workshop, dealership or mobile environment
• a full UK Category B driving licence with no more than six points
• flexibility to work the advertised rota, including Saturdays
• a professional, customer focused approach

Guaranteed earnings range from £36,307 to £38,270. Pay within the advertised range will depend on qualification level and experience. There is also the opportunity to earn up to £6,000 in incentives and overtime. Incentive and overtime earnings are dependent on performance and hours worked.
